There are also beautiful hiking opportunities in the surrounding area. The wooden house town of Risør, Tvedestrand, Arendal and Kragerø are not far away and are very lively in the summer months. Risør offers, among other things, restaurants, cafés, shops and a saltwater aquarium as well as various cultural activities and different festivals, for example the Wooden Boat Festival and the Chamber Music Festival.
