Holiday apartments on a family-run agriturismo with private access to the child-friendly and dog-friendly beach
The agriturismo is surrounded by a citrus plantation and is just 200 metres from the sea on Calabria’s Ionian coast. The area is part of a protected area all around the beach and the mouth of the Crocchio River. This area is of a special natural beauty and is visited by various species of migrating birds. The farm borders the beach directly and is accessed via a private path.
The agriturismo is family-run and has a centuries-old tradition. Currently the following products are made or cultivated: olive oil, oranges, clementines, and vegetables such as tomatoes, paprika and aubergines. The products are cultivated organically. The owners are happy to show you their enterprise with its seasonal cycles. You can also visit oil mills, cheese dairies and wine cellars nearby. The family is closely bound to the rural traditions of Calabria. Owing to the expansion of the family, they now also speak English and Czech.
The farm offers five holiday apartments of different sizes. In front of the apartments there are tables and chairs for those who would like to dine outdoors. The garden is an ideal place for relaxing, surrounded by fragrant lemons, pomegranates and other colourful plants. Children will also enjoy it here, whether in the well-equipped play area or running around on the large lawn. In the common room you can find a library, a TV with a DVD player, cards, board games and a bar, where you can sample a glass of wine and typical Calabrian specialities such as sausage, grilled vegetables, pecorino cheese and olives.
A shared dinner is arranged weekly, with meat or fish and grilled vegetables and local dishes, such as stuffed aubergines and typical pasta dishes.
From the apartment, a small path leads through the citrus grove to the beach in just a few minutes. This access to the beach is private. The beach has a natural beauty, with fine, golden sand. It is wide and not overcrowded even in the high season, therefore it is also suitable for children and playing. Owing to its expanse, dogs are also allowed on the beach, as other bathing guests are not disturbed. On windy days, the sea is also suitable for windsurfing. The appropriate equipment can be hired at the agriturismo. A riding school near the farm organises riding excursions through the pine forest bordering the beach.
The agriturismo lies in the centre of Calabria and is therefore an ideal starting point for many trips, to explore the beauty of the region. Calabria is rich in natural beauty, art, history and culture. The aromas of the Calabrian cuisine will accompany you on your explorations. The nature is very diverse. There are craggy coasts, fine sandy beaches, ideal for water sports, or forested mountains, ideal for relaxing walks or hikes, and in winter even for cross-country skiing.

The apartment consists of a bedroom with double bed (160 x 190 cm) and a living room-kitchen with a sofa bed. The apartment also has a bathroom and a veranda. The accommodation is air conditioned.
