Chalet Fridolin in Braunwald-Schwettiberg

Our Chalet Fridolin is a 4.5-room holiday home and was expanded in the summer of 2023 and completely renovated in terms of energy (outer shell, windows, roof and floor to the unheated basement). The chalet is in a unique, quiet location in the Schwettiberg district of the car-free town of Braunwald. It has a large, sunny balcony with panoramic views and a large garden with a covered patio. The chalet at an altitude of 1,425 m is located directly on the ski slope / hiking trails and is often used by us, but can also be rented out on request.

The chalet has a kitchen, living room with office, dining room and a separate toilet on the ground floor. The kitchen will be completely renovated in 2022 and is equipped with an induction hob, an oven, a dishwasher, a fridge with a freezer compartment and a Nespresso and filter coffee machine. On the upper floor there is a bathroom with a shower cubicle renovated in 2023, toilet and double sink, a room with a double bed and a second room with six beds (storage). In addition, a travel cot is available in the house. A washing machine, a tumble dryer and a freezer are available in the basement.

A gas grill is available in the summer. The chalet's equipment also includes board games, two children's high chairs, diaper pail, potty and toilet seat attachment, bathroom stool, stair gate, children's dishes and changing mat, as well as four Davos sleds, a Swisscom TV and a music system with radio, as well as WiFi.

In the immediate vicinity of the chalet is the "Schwettiberg-Lädeli", a small shop with a large selection.

Since 2023, the chalet has been heated by a fully automatic heat pump with thermostat-controlled radiators in all rooms. The bathroom has an additional electric heater. The heat pump also produces the hot water.

Electricity, water and WiFi, as well as kitchen towels are included in the rental price. Towels must be brought along. Linen can be rented. An underground parking space at the valley station of the Braunwald funicular can also be rented as an option (incl. 230 V / 16A industrial socket for electric cars; electricity included in the price).

Since our chalet has only one bathroom, we only rent it to a family with children/teenagers or two couples if one of the couples can sleep in the camp and using the only bathroom available is not a problem.

Other kitchen equipment (Kitchen1): Dishwasher including detergent, rinse aid and salt; filter for the coffee maker, as well as a tea strainer; Loaf pan, two round tart pans, as well as three casserole dishes for the oven; cupboard with flour, sugar and salt, as well as numerous spices; Fridge with a small freezer compartment and an additional freezer in the basement; raclette machine; two fondue tiles with Rechauds; the kitchen was completely renewed in 2022.
The dining room is a separate room and has a size of 10 m2 with a round bench and 2 chairs (see pictures); however, there are 4 more chairs available in the house and the table can be extended, so a maximum of 8 people have space to dine.
