The holiday house is on a pedestrian street near the Belvedere Marconi in the old town on a hill overlooking the Adriatic sea and the Maiella mountains on the other side. There are shops, cafes and services within a few hundred meters. Cars can be parked free of charge hundred meters from the house, when space is available. San Vito Chietino is famous for the Via Verde, the bicycle and jogging/walking trail along the scenic Trabocchi coast. More than thirty restaurants offer celebrated street food and Michelin fine dining. The Maiella National Park is within easy reach, 35 km inland with interesting hamlets, ski resorts, horse riding and walking trails. San Vito Chietino is half an hour by car from Pescara International Airport and is well connected to the big cities by train, bus and highways.
San Vito Marina offers several beaches, both sandy and pebble stone beaches. There is a pedestrian trail from the hill to the Marina, which takes ten minutes to walk. Alternatively, bus or car will take five minutes up or down. Strong traditional customs characterize San Vito Chietino.
The house is built of stone and was renovated in 2015, without changing the original building character and structure. The house has vaulted ceilings in the form of cross and tunnel vaults. The floors on the ground floor are made of ancient, hand-formed bricks, where one can see the trace of fingers shaping them five hundred years ago. The ground floor has a spacious living room with a fold-out sofa bed (160 x 200cm), a coffee table, wicker chairs and a window with a sea view. The living room adjoins the dining space with a table and chairs for up to six people. The adjoining kitchen has tiled worktops, a gas stove, electric oven, fridge with a freezer compartment, 8 kg washing machine, espresso pot and a microwave oven. In the hall there is a bed (80 x 190cm). The upper floor has a bedroom with a double bed (160 x 200cm), two bedside tables with reading lamps and a wardrobe. The bathroom is fitted with a shower with a glass sliding door, a toilet and a stone washbasin. The house has central heating (municipal gas) and a free wireless Internet connection.
In front of the house there is a 15m2 fenced terrace with garden furniture, with a view of the Adriatic sea. The site is fenced and you can bring a pet on request. The house also features a balcony with a sea view. The location is on a pedestrian street with no cars allowed in front of the house. It is quiet and undisturbed, yet central and convenient.
